Gypsum Retarder HN202 is a polymer-modified, amino acid-based high-efficiency and eco-friendly solution designed for the construction industry. This innovative retarder enhances the workability of gypsum by effectively delaying the setting time.

Amino acid retarders, such as HN202, undergo complexation reactions with calcium ions released during gypsum hydration. For example, aspartic acid contains a carboxyl group that forms stable complexes with these ions. During the initial stage of gypsum hydration, hemihydrate gypsum reacts with water to create dihydrate gypsum, releasing calcium ions in the process. HN202 quickly binds to these calcium ions, improving the retarding effect and extending the working time for construction applications.
